And priorities – super dangerous downsides versus an exaggerated chance of being sent home … I’ll make choice A! Reminds me of USAID and Eco Health Alliance laundering projects of questionable (I like gain of function projects, but they’re illegal in much of the West for a reason) through labs run by the PLA instead of Red China’s actually fairly safe civilian labs, or, you know, some place in the West where such research was legal and public.
